Scholarships for Active Military Personnel
There are many resources available to assist veterans and family members of veterans with tuition costs. The following resources may assist you in your search for additional funding opportunities.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
The federal Montgomery GI Bill® provides monthly educational benefits to veterans, reservists, and active duty personnel. Benefits are also available under the Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program and the Post-Vietnam Era Veterans' Educational Assistance Program. For information, call 1-888-442-4551 or contact the VA Regional Office, 31 Hopkins Plaza, Baltimore, MD 21201.
Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon Program was established by the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows institutions of higher learning (such as colleges, universities, and other degree-granting schools) in the United States to voluntarily enter into an agreement with VA to fund tuition and fee expenses that exceed the tuition and fee amounts payable under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
